To enter into, and perform contracts for you

Where you engage us to provide you with our professional services we will request from you, and process, personal data which will allow us to communicate with you and provide you with the services you have requested. We therefore collect and store your data as necessary to enable us to perform our contractual obligations. We will only process data that is required in order to fulfil our contractual obligations and if you choose to not supply us with the data we request then we will not be able to perform our duties under the contract.

To fulfil our legal obligations

Where we are engaged to provide you with accountancy and tax services we will process and store your personal data. We will retain this data as necessary to comply with laws and regulations governing the retention of financial records.

Transferring your data

As part of our contractual obligation we will transfer your data to HM Revenue & Customs and where necessary Companies House. We will not transfer any data that is not required in order to perform our contractual duties.

We may also transfer your data to third parties, such as financial advisers, tax consultants or mortgage brokers, however we only transfer the data once we have your consent and will only transfer the data that is necessary for the specified purpose.

Retention period

We only keep your data for as long as reasonably necessary. When we set our data retention periods, we consider the volume, nature and sensitivity of the personal data that  we hold, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use of the information and the purpose for which we process the personal data, including whether we require the data in order to achieve this purpose. We also take consider our legal obligations to retain personal data as explained above.

Generally speaking, we retain your information for a period of 7 years.

You have the following rights with regards to your personal data:

  • the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

Changes to our Privacy Notice

We regularly review and, where necessary, update our privacy policy. If we plan to use personal data for a new purpose we update our privacy information and communicate the changes to individuals before starting any new processing.
